Law Office Study Program Registration
The Law Office Study Program means apprenticing for no less than four years under the supervision of a practicing
Vermont judge or attorney. The Law Office Study Program is governed by Rule 7 of the Rules of Admission to the
Bar of the Vermont Supreme Court (https://www.vermontjudiciary.org/sites/default/files/documents/900-
00014_0.pdf), which you should review prior to submitting this Registration Form.

II Eligibility
____ I am a citizen of the United States or an alien lawfully present in the United States.
____ I am at least 18 years of age.
____ I am of good moral character and fitness.
____ I have earned a bachelor’s degree from ______________________________, which is a college or
university within the United States that is authorized to grant a bachelor’s degree by the law of the
state in which it is located. YOU MUST ATTACH AN OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT FROM YOUR
UNDERGRADUATE SCHOOL CERTIFYING THAT YOU EARNED A BACHELOR’S DEGREE.
III Program Duration and Credit
____ I acknowledge that completion of the Law Office Study Program requires no less than four years of
approved study, and that, pursuant to Rule 7(d) of the Rules of Admission, a year of study consists
of twelve calendar months of not less than 44 weeks of study and a week of study consists of not
less than 25 hours of study during a period of 7 consecutive days or not less than 30 hours of study
during a period of 14 consecutive days.
