LATE REPORTING ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FOR A MILEAGE OPTION

If your vehicle is currently out of compliance with the Truck and Bus regulation, and you can
demonstrate that you met the criteria to claim a mileage option as specified in the regulation, you
must attest that you acknowledge the following:
All of the information that you submit (a ttached, on paper, or online ) is a true and accurate
record of your fleet information.
You did not receive a citation for your fleet and have no outstanding citations.
Reporting is required each January to demonstrate your vehicle meets the eligibility criteria of
a claimed flexibility option.
Failure to report mileage on time m eans your vehicle does not comply with the requirements to
use a mileage extension, and it will need to be upgraded immediately.
The documents you must submit for each vehicle along with a signed copy of this late reporting
acknowledgement form are listed below:

An estimate

odometer reading on January 1
of the current compliance year

current picture of the vehicle (s) o dometer
and
date the picture was taken
Third party mileage records include Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP ) slips or Basic
Inspection of Terminals (BIT ) Program records. However, if these two programs do not apply to your
vehicle third party maintenance records may be accepted. For interstate trucks, you must provide
International Fuel Tax Agreement or International Registration Plan fuel summary reports.

Send this signed form and documentation for each vehicle to TRUCRS@arb.ca.gov. If the
documentation you provide is inadequate, TRUCRS staff will request additional documents. If you do
not provide the requested documentation within 30 days, your account will still be marked as having
been provided the opportunity to report late without penalty. You may also call 8666-DIESEL for
instructions on how to mail this information if you cannot email.
