SECTION 1—STUDENT INFORMATION
Remember to complete the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov and list the Andrews University school code, 002238. We are no
longer allowed to accept copies of federal tax returns, so you must use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool on the FAFSA to link directly to
the IRS database. The IRS Data Retrieval Tool will be available 2-3 weeks after you (and your parent(s) or spouse, if applicable) have
filed an electronic federal income tax return. If you have already filed the FAFSA, you will need to log on, click on “Make a
Correction,” use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool, and submit the record for processing.
If you feel changes need to be made to the tax data uploaded to your FAFSA, please contact our office for further instructions. You
may be selected for a process called “verification” which will require additional documentation. If you did not or could not use the
IRS Data Retrieval in the FAFSA, you will have to obtain a Tax Return Transcript by going to www.irs.gov. Please log in to your
AU
finVue account to check for additional requirements.
