Join us for an expo that will celebrate the opening of
SUNY Orange Center for Assistive & Rehab Technology,
the Hudson Valley’s first comprehensive center to provide access to
tools that will enable people to live life to the fullest!
The SUNY Orange Center for Assistive & Rehab Technology is
the first comprehensive center within the Mid-Hudson Valley to provide
products and services that address the needs of individuals with
disabilities and/or age-related limitations. The Center, to be based on
the Middletown and Newburgh campuses of Orange County
Community College will offer opportunities for individuals of all ages to
participate in hands-on demonstrations of assistive devices and
technology tools that encourage independent learning and living.
The 1st Annual Hudson Valley Assistive Technology EXPO will
showcase the latest innovations in assistive technology for individuals
with visual, auditory, mobility, communication, sensory processing
impairments or who experience difficulties with daily living skills; and
products that enhance academic, home and work modifications or
adaptations.
We anticipate this event will attract 80 business and agency exhibits
including informational/workshop booths, poster sessions, interactive
games and wheelchair sports activities. All exhibits, informational
workshop booths and activities will take place in the 23,000 sq. foot
gymnasium in the College’s accessible Athletic Center.
Exhibitor and sponsor names, booth locations, presentations and
special events will be listed in an Exhibit Hall guide that will be
distributed to over 1000 attendees, including persons with various
types of disabilities, their family members and caregivers,
rehabilitation professionals, home healthcare providers, healthcare
facility administrators, community resource agency personnel, early
intervention service providers, students, teachers, military personnel
and senior citizens.
Standard booths are 10x10 (larger booths are available) and include a
6-foot table, 2 chairs and pole and drape background.
Electrical outlets, internet ports and Wi-Fi are available.
Exhibitor setup will be Friday, May 14 from 3 – 5 pm. Exhibit hours
are 10 – 4 pm on Saturday, May 15.
