AFFIDAVIT FOR CERTIFICATION
INTERNET CONSIGNMENT AUCTION
NRS 445B.805, 482.325, NRS 487.410
To qualify as a consignment auction for the purpose of exemption from emissions inspection requirements pursuant to
NRS 445B.805, an auction must be:
a live auction with an auctioneer verbally calling for and accepting bids; or
an auction conducted on an auction website on the Internet by a person who is certified by the Department of
Motor Vehicles.
The following qualifications must be met in order to be certified by the Department of Motor Vehicles to conduct Internet
auctions and exempt from the emissions inspection requirements pursuant to NRS 445B.805:
I am currently licensed as a Vehicle Dealer (NRS 482.325) or Salvage Pool (NRS 487.410) in the State of
Nevada. Application for internet auction certification may be made as part of an original business license
application.
At least 51 percent of the motor vehicles I sold in the calendar year immediately preceding my application for
certification were sold on behalf of another person; and
I sold the vehicles using a live auction with an auctioneer verbally calling for and accepting bids; or
I sold the vehicles using an auction conducted on an auction website on the Internet.
As an authorized representative of the business identified below, I hereby certify that:
I understand that I must meet the notice requirements set forth in NRS 445B.805 and provide the buyer with a
form (EC-38), that informs the buyer that the consignee is exempt from any requirement to obtain or provide
emissions inspections for that motor vehicle for each vehicle for which I wish to claim an emission inspection
exemption.
