How We Investigate Complaints
The Arizona Attorney General’s Office (the “Office”) is authorized under A.R.S. § 16-1021 to enforce certain civil
and criminal violations of Arizona’s election code, codified in Title 16 of the Arizona Revised Statutes. The Office,
through the Elections Integrity Unit (“EIU”), accepts electronic complaints submitted online, as well as
complaints mailed to the Office. Depending on the nature of the allegations, however, the Office may refer your
entire complaint or portions thereof to another state or local agency for investigation and/or enforcement.
If your complaint requires immediate law enforcement intervention due to a crime in progress or
an escalating situation, contact your local police department immediately.
Complaints and supporting materials are considered public records, and may be disclosed pursuant to applicable
laws. Please ensure your complaint is directed to the appropriate agency (some complaints are processed
outside of the Attorney General’s Office).
You may use this form to file an election law complaint regarding:
Voter Registration
Nominating Procedures/Petition Gathering
Early Voting
Election Day/Polling Place Issues
Election Administration
Please refer to our website to determine the appropriate agency for other complaint types not listed.
How You Can Help Us
To expedite an investigation as much as possible, please provide as much specific information as you can

conversations; this should include the name and contact information for other witnesses who are willing to
provide evidence about the alleged violations. Also, please include any documents, photographs, videos, or
other evidence that support your allegations.
