Program eligibility
To be eligible fo
r the Program, continuing PCC students must have completed at least 12 units with a cumulative
college GPA for UC-tr
ansferrable courses of 3.2 or above and be eligible for (or completed) English 1a. If any other
colleges or universities have been attended, transcripts (which can be unofficial) from those institutions must
be provided. Incoming PCC Freshman must have an unweighted cumulative High School GPA of 3.2 or above and
place into or above English 1a. PCC’s English placement test must be taken before first-year students can be
admitted to the Program, unless you have a score of 3 or higher on the AP English test.

I understand that to successfully complete the Honors Program I must:
A. Complete a minimum of 15 units in the Honors Program with a minimum grade of B in each Honors course.

plicable Honors Courses are published each semester in the PCC Schedule of Classes.
B. Maintain an overall GPA of 3.2 (N
ote: Some institutions may require a higher GPA for admission).
C. Complete an Ed Plan and meet each semester with an Honors counselor or Pa
thways coach.
D. Participate in Honors program workshops on transfer, research and other topics.
E. Co
mplete pre-major and admission requirements set by the transfer institution.
F. Inform the Honors Program Coor
dinator or the Honors Program Counselor that I have applied to a transfer
institution with which PCC has an Honors Program transfer agreement. (This step is crucial to ensure
transfer priority agreement.)
G. Complete the necessary Honors Program certification forms required by each transfer institution th

an Honors Program Transfer Agreement. (The Honors Program Counselor will contact you regarding
this process after you have notified him that you have completed your transfer applications.)
