The following is to be provided by the student after consultation with the
instructor. The completed contract must be received by the Honors Director the
semester prior to taking the course. If taking the course for fall semester the
Honors Contract form must be received by May 1, and by December 15 if taking
the course for spring semester. For contracting a course for a summer term, the
contract must be due into the Honors Director two weeks prior to the start of class.
Terms of the Contract:
1. What project(s) will you be undertaking in the course to be considered
for honors credit?
2. What do you hope to learn or achieve with these projects?
3. What is the total amount of time you will spend on this project?
(Generally, it is expected that the project will require at least 20 hours of
work over and above the regular requirements.)
4. What aspects of this project make them of honors caliber and how will
that be assessed?
