outside the classroom, how you would benefit from the Honors Program, and how the Honors Program would
benefit from your participation. Your statement should be approximately 100-200 words.

If you do not currently meet eligibility requirements (English 1A, entrance GPA, transcript requirement, <40-
unit threshold, etc.), yet are still interested in the Honors Program, we encourage you to reach out to a high
school teacher, faculty member, or school counselor who can speak to your potential success in the RCCD
Honors Program. Ask him or her to submit an Honors Program Recommendation Form (found on RCC’s
Honors Program website) with your application.
