Example: The cost of 5 t-shirts is $30.
At that rate, how many t-shirts can be
purchased for $60?

I know that $60 is double $30. When I
double something, it is the same as
multiplying by 2. If I double the cost
of the t-shirts, then I also double the
number of t-shirts. 5 × 2 = 10
 10 t-shirts can be purchased for $60.
