Rental Use Policy and Renter Liability
The individual renting the facility hereby agrees to the following:
The renter must be 21 years of age or older and is to be solely and completely responsible for the condition of the facility and
to leave the building and grounds in a neat and clean condition, without damage.
To hold the City of Leander, its staff and agents harmless from any and all liability for injury to persons or property resulting
from or arising out of the use by renter and all others invited to the site or using the site under or through the authority of
renter.
Damage to the property during a rental shall be assumed by the renter.
To acknowledge that renter failure to promptly reimburse the City for all damages of liability may result in the termination of
future rights to use City facilities and legal action.
Rental fees and security deposits will be refunded in full if the reservation is cancelled a minimum of 14 days prior to the
event. Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the event may not be refunded. Alternate dates for rentals may be
arranged if dates are available.
Renters must adhere to the City Park Rules & Regulations Ordinance 15-061-00.
Operational hours at the Mason Homestead are from 8 am to midnight daily. The City Noise Ordinance is in effect at 10pm
(Leander Code of Ordinances Sec. 8.4.001).
No smoking, tobacco use or pets are allowed inside the building.
No fires, flame burning candles, Tiki torches, sparklers or fireworks may be used in or around the Mason Homestead.
No nails, staple guns, tacks, tape or non-removable adhesives may be used to hang decorations or signs.
The possession and consumption of alcohol is allowed, but the sale of alcohol is subject to City Council approval and Texas
Alcohol Beverage Commission (TABC) permit.
The use of inflatables is acceptable only if the renter uses a City approved vendor. Other vendors may be used if the vendor
provides documentation verifying State certification for each inflatable to be used and proof of insurance stating the City of
Leander as an additional insured.
No overnight occupancy allowed.
