PROCEDURES FOR REPORTING WORKERS’ COMPENSATION ACCIDENTS
1. When an injury or accident occurs on-the-job, you, the employee, must promptly notify your immediate supervisor and
Henry County Schools’ Workers’ Compensation Representative. Since you cannot authorize your own appointment, it
is imperative that both of these individuals be notified on the date of your injury/accident.
2. If professional medical care or treatment is needed, YOU MUST SELECT ONE OF THE PANEL PHYSICIANS OR
MEDICAL FACILITIES LISTED BELOW.
3. Workers’ Compensation will not pay for treatment at the emergency room for a non-emergency situation.
4. If you have questions concerning which panel physician would best serve your needs, contact your Workers’
Compensation Coordinator, at (770) 957-6601, or your supervisor.
