Green Homes Grant Voucher Scheme Customer Cost Certification Form
We have asked you to complete this form, because the quote provided with your voucher application is higher
than a typical installation of a measures of this type. There may be good reasons for this, but to ensure value for
money for the taxpayer and to ensure you are not paying more than you need to for this work, we need to ask you
to provide more information.

Instructions:
Step 1: Please tick the box that applies to your measure AND write an explanation in the space provided
to indicate the reasons which could cause your project to be more expensive than typical.
Step 2: Once completed, sign or print your name, date, include your Application Reference Number on page 2, and
return the form within 14 calendar days from when you received it.
Step 3: Photograph and submit the completed form to customer@green-homes-grant.service.gov.uk.
Measure applied for and potential reasons for higher priced quotes:
[ ] External Wall Insulation: Repairs to brickwork;
treatment of damp; extensions to roof overhang
beyond EWI; new, or repairs to, damp proof course;
installation of new controlled ventilation;
groundworks to install below damp proof course;
removal and reinstatement of external wall fittings.
[ ] Room in Roof Insulation: Replacement of
damaged roof timbers & tiles; treatment of damp;
repair of vapour control layer under tiles; installation
of new controlled ventilation.
[ ] Internal Wall Insulation: Removal and
reinstatement of existing kitchen or bathroom;
installation of damp proof course; treatment of
damp; complex room shapes; plaster walls rather
than dry-lined walls; removal and reinstatement of
wall furniture requiring specialist expertise e.g. gas
meters, radiators, electric sockets; installation of
new controlled ventilation.
[ ] Underfloor Insulation: Relocation of underfloor
services; creation of floor void access hatches;
repair/installation of new underfloor void air bricks;
treatment of damp; avoidance of thermal bridging at
floor & wall junction; insulation of pipework;
installation of new controlled ventilation inside
house; use of spray foam.
[ ] Cavity Wall Insulation: Installation of cavity trays;
enabling work for hard-to-treat cavities; use of spray
foam; extent of brick removal and replacement
needed; treatment of damp; installation of new
controlled ventilation.
[ ] Loft Insulation: Removal of redundant water
cylinders and platforms; treatment of damp; loft
floorboarding (including raising boards and
platforms); loft hatch pillow; use of spray foam;
insulation of pipework; installation of new controlled
ventilation inside living area.
[ ] Pitched Roof Insulation: Use of spray foam;
treatment of damp; sealing of uncontrolled air
infiltration and installation of new controlled
ventilation.
[ ] Flat Roof Insulation: Repair or replacement of
damaged waterproof layers; repair or replacement of
damaged vapour control layers; replacement of
damaged ballast or roof finish; installation of access
panels; installation of new controlled ventilation
inside house; removal and replacement of roof tiles
on shallow pitched roof.
[ ] Park Home Insulation: Repair of walls, floor and
roof necessary to allow insulation to be fitted;
treatment of damp; extensions to roof overhang
beyond insulation; installation of new controlled
ventilation; removal and reinstatement of external
wall fittings.
[ ] Biomass Boiler: Store for biomass pellets and
automatic feed.
[ ]
Glazing: Sash, tilt and turn and windows are all
more expensive than basic casement windows.
Triple glazing more expensive than double glazing.
[ ]
Other Measures (Draught Proofing, Hot Water Tank
Thermostats, Hot Water Tank Insulation, Heating
Controls, or Solar Thermal): Please provide
