Grading & Land Disturbance Permit
This document allows __________________________to perform private grading and land
disturbance according to the plans for construction which affect over 1 acre in disturbed area at
________________________________ project subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. The
developer and grading contractor are responsible for repair to any damaged public
infrastructure included but not limited to curbs, streets, sidewalks prior to issuance of any
building permits. Work shall be completed in accordance with the approved and attached
drawings and specifications, per City of Parkville adopted standards including KC-APWA
section 5600. All disturbed ground must have vegetation re-established within 6 months
after grading activities are complete. Each grading permit shall be accompanied by a set of
plans and specifications. The Director of Public Works may require any additional
information, including engineering reports, soil reports, or as required in the current Edition
of the Uniform Building Code. (Ord. No. 1206 §5, 2-5-90))
2. Contractor shall have a current approved business license and a current proof of insurance
on file with the City of Parkville.
3. All erosion control measures shall be checked and repaired within 48 hours of a rain event.
This permit shall be in addition to any required permits from the Missouri Department of
Natural Resources (Forms G and E).
4. Additional erosion control measures may be required by the Director of Public Works and/or
the Director of Community Development if at their discretion the erosion control measures in
place are not adequately controlling erosion on site.
5. Excavation permit fees are based on City Ordinance Section 520.020
1 -- 10,000 sq. ft. $25.00 10,001 -- 50,000 sq. ft $40.00
50,001 -- 100,000 sq. ft $55.00 100,001 or more sq. ft. $75.00

violations of the provisions of such or from the conditions as stated herein shall constitute cause for the
