Gift-In-Kind Form
This document ensures accuracy in accepting a gift to Nova Southeastern University, Inc. (NSU). Formal acknowledgment of a
gift will be provided by a separate document after acceptance of the gift by NSU.
NSU Information:
NSU is a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation; tax ID No 59-1083502.
All gifts-in-kind must be accompanied by a fair market value estimate of the gift as determined by the donor.
Gifts-in-kind with an apparent value of $5,000 ($10,000 if closely-held stock) or more, require that a qualified appraisal
and completed IRS Form 8283 be submitted with this Gift-in-Kind Form, unless the donor will not be seeking a tax
deduction.
NSU requires gifts-in-kind of $5,000 or more to have the written approval of the NSU Gift Acceptance Committee.
It will be the donor’s responsibility to ensure that the proper forms are filed with the United States Internal Revenue
Service. The donor shall incur all costs for appraisals, if required.
NSU requires that its Deed of Gift Form be duly executed by the donor for In Kind contributions
Gifts of Services are not deductible as per IRS
