The GGU Taxation Grant for Public Employees (40% Tuition Grant) is available to full-time federal, state,
city or County government employees enrolled in taxation courses (“TA” prefix) at GGU.
I am submitting my application for the GGU Taxation Grant (TAX40). My signature below indicates that all of
the above statements are true and correct to the best of my knowledge.
I understand I must submit this form by the priority deadline which is the start of the term I am applying
for.
I understand as soon as I am able to register for each term, I must email the Financial Aid Office (FAO)
at finaid@ggu.edu with my Full Name, Student ID Number and the exact number of units. Upon
receipt of the email, the GGU TAX 40 grant will be applied onto my account.
I understand the GGU TAX40 grant of forty percent (40%) of tuition will be applied, as long as I am
employed full-time” by a Federal, State, City or County government entity.
I understand that my employment will be verified by the FAO. My employer’s contact information or
employer’s verification number is true and correct as stated above.
I understand if my employment ceases with the Employer listed above, it is my responsibility to notify
the FAO at finaid@ggu.edu, so no further grant is applied to my account.
I fully understand that courses with the “TA” (taxation courses only) prefix are eligible for this grant
and the remaining courses without the “TA” prefix will not be eligible and not included in the
calculation to receive the 40% reduction.
I understand I may only receive one grant, scholarship, or tuition discount per trimester from Golden
Gate University (GGU); all GGU Grants are applied towards tuition. If I am receiving outside sources to
cover tuition costs, such as Employer Reimbursement, VA benefits, Scholarships, and/or Grants, all
sources received may not exceed tuition costs for the term.
I understand the application deadline is the last day of the term, for which I am applying for.
I understand the grant is not retroactive and cannot be applied to terms that have been completed prior
to the submission of this form.
The GGU TAX 40 grant is not applicable to Golden Gate School of Law programs or classes.
If my enrollment plans change, I must notify the FAO immediately. This may result in a re-evaluation
of my eligibility for the GGU TAX40 grant.
