Many of the GEAR courses can fulfill two requirements at once: GE/Major, GE/Minor, GE/DCG, DCG/Major, but
never GE/GE. Courses that meet the outcomes of more than GE area A-F, can only be used for one of those areas.]
Lower Division GE
Take GE Area A and B: Math before you earn 60 units (or 30 units for transfer students). Pass each with a C- or better.

One American Institutions course will also count for one GE Area D discipline. One Diversity and Common Ground (DCG)
course must be domestic in focus. The other may be either domestic or non-domestic.
