Globalization Studies
Request for Course Change(s) in Major
Students who wish to replace any courses listed on their Globalization Studies application must
do the following: 1) Discuss the changes with your advisor in person (unless abroad); 2) email
a completed request form to your advisor for formal approval; and 3) have your advisor forward
this form to Program Director Alvaro Kaempfer with a note indicating approval. Students
should initiate this process as soon as possible upon deciding to change a course. Students
should not email unapproved forms directly to the director.
Please remember that in addition to being relevant to your proposed regional or thematic track, a
new
course must
meet the requirements for the GS major. For both thematic and regional tracks
you must take classes
from at
least two disciplines and cannot take more than two classes off
campus. You may not take more than three courses, total, off campus (unless you study off
campus for two semesters), and you may not count more than three courses for another major.
