Inactive members are defined as non-dues paying members. This includes members on special or inactive status
with your chapter and/or national organization, or those who are inactive due to student teaching, study abroad or
other approved inactive status. If a member has “inactive” status on your ESU F&S Life roster, he/she may not
participate in any F&S Life or chapter events and will not be counted for your chapter grade report.
2
Terminated members are those whose membership is ended by the chapter. When a member is terminated,
he/she is no longer affiliated with the chapter in any way. This includes members who are expelled by the chapter
and new members whose membership is terminated due to a failure to meet initiation/activation requirements.
3
Resigned members are those who have chosen to end their membership on their own accord. When a member
resigns, he/she is no longer affiliated with the chapter in any way.
4
Alumnus/Alumnae members are those members who have either graduated from ESU, have served the required
number of semesters/years as an active member and have been granted alumnus/alumna status, or who have been
given special alumnus/alumna status by your chapter and national organization.
5
Transferred members are those who have been activated/initiated as full members and are no longer attending
ESU, but are still considered members of your national organization. This includes members who transferred to
another school or who left ESU for other reasons.
