Fire Sprinkler System Checklist for Plan Review and Inspections
The following is intended to assist the engineer and or installing contractor in designing and submitting for
review - a "code compliant" - fire sprinkler system. This document in no way details all of the
requirements that may be necessary for a complete code compliant system.
Note: Systems shall be designed in accordance with the codes adopted in State Fire Marshal Rules
and specifically, NFPA 101 and NFPA 13.

29. If sprinkler protection is installed in electrical equipment rooms, are
noncombustible hoods or shields installed to protect important electrical
equipment from sprinkler discharge? (see exceptions) NFPA 13: 5-13.1.1
