The Village promotes all local activities held by the Friends of the Bay, and the Village residents are
invited to all public meetings where applications for land development are reviewed and discussed.
As a coalition member with Nassau County, the Village benefits from their efforts pertaining to
public participation.
The Village holds Zoning Board meetings, Planning Board meetings, Board of Trustees meetings
and Architectural Review Board meetings, where the Village residents were invited to review and
discuss applications for land development projects and environmental issues.

The Village is promoting a beach cleanup in Oyster Bay to be held in 2020. The Village plans to
continue its coalition status with Nassau County, and continue to invite residents to meetings to
review and discuss development plans.

The Village completed the mapping and ownership verification for all outfalls mapped within the
Village by Nassau County, and dry weather monitoring is done frequently. One outfall pipe
formerly reported was determined to be connected to a dry well groundwater recharge system. The
Village has on sluice which is an outfall on Muttontown - Eastwoods Road. The Village also is
vigilant in processing building applications which require upgrading of individual sewage disposal
systems.
No dry weather flow was observed, and no failing septic systems were found.
