Temporary Propane Checklist
Reviewed Policy FPB-17 (Temporary Use of Liquid Propane at Construction Sites)
Submit site plan
Plans shall be to scale or shall indicate all measurements depicting the following:
• Location of the tank or cylinder to the nearest:
o Structures
o Construction trailers
o Other tanks or cylinders
o Flammable or combustible liquids
o Property lines
o Parking of automobiles or other internal combustion engines
Installed in accordance with the following & Policy FPB-17:
LPG tanks/cylinders shall not be allowed inside of any structure under construction;
whether in use or in storage.
Exception: One (1) cylinder, maximum size of 100 pounds may be allowed inside of a
structure or 500 lbs or more outside of a structure pursuant to the following:
• Obtain permit; Permit shall be posted on site in a conspicuous area.
• Inspection of all equipment shall be required once every twenty-four (24) hours.
• Twenty-four (24) hour contact names and telephone numbers shall be posted
near permit on site in a conspicuous place.
• Address numbers shall be placed on the structure or property in such a manner
as to be plainly visible and legible from street or fronting the property.
