• A/C Unit must be 5 tons or less.
• Customer MUST have an active residential electric account
• One Tune Up per A/C unit, per year. (up to 2 units per home)
Minimum Checklist requirements:
Inspect and clean Condenser and Evaporator coils, Lubricate fan motor and
blower motor (if needed), check operating pressure, inspect for leaks, and
clean condensation line. Test capacitor and relay. Check all electrical
connections and wiring, verify correct voltage and amperage. Clean or
replace filter. Verify thermostat is operating properly. Test for proper airflow.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
ELIGIBILITY
• I understand that I must be a Banning Electric Utility customer and I must have an active residen-
tial Banning Electric Account.
• If I am a tenant, I am responsible for obtaining the property owner’s permission to have a tune up
completed on the A/C unit. My signature on this application indicates that I have obtained this
permission
• Rebates are on a first come first serve basis, the program will end when all approved funding has
been spent.
APPLICATION
• This signed and dated application, copies of sales receipt and Tune up checklist must be sent to
Banning Electric Utility postmarked no later than 180 days from the date of tune up.
• I am responsible for filling out the application completely, truthfully and accurately.
• I understand that Banning Electric Utility is not responsible for items lost or destroyed in the mail/
transit.
PROCESSING
• Processing of the rebate is conditional that all supporting documentation be submitted with the
application. Delays in proper documentation will delay the rebate processing.
• The rebate will be applied as a credit to the customer’s electric account within 6 to 8 weeks of
receiving completed application and all supporting documentation.
