UNDERGRADUATE ALTERNATIVE ASSESSMENT POLICY FOR STUDENTS JOINING FULL YEAR MODULES:
One essay (5000 words maximum), due by the Friday of Week 1 of Term 3 (i.e. Friday 27 April 2018); or
If preferred by Module Convenor, this could be split into two essays (totalling 5000 words maximum), 1st due by the last day of Term 2 (i.e.
Friday 23 March 2018) and 2nd due by the by the Friday of Week 1 of Term 3 (i.e. Friday 27 April 2018).
POSTGRADUATE ALTERNATIVE ASSESSMENT POLICY FOR STUDENTS JOINING FULL YEAR MODULES:
One essay (5000 words maximum), due by the Friday of Week 1 of Term 3 (i.e. Friday 27 April 2018).
POLICY FOR STUDENTS JOINING HALF UNIT AND LANGUAGE MODULES:
You are expected to follow the same assessment plan and deadlines as regular students and will sit the final exam in May.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
SOAS has a final School deadline (i.e. Friday 4 May 2018), after which no essays can be submitted and no work will be marked.
All written assignments should be submitted via Moodle - ble.soas.ac.uk - unless otherwise instructed by the Module Convenor.
If you decide at a later date to change your assessment (e.g. one essay instead of two), please contact the Study Abroad Coordinator.
If your lecturer would prefer a different method of assessment (e.g. reaction papers or journals), please ask them to speak to the Study Abroad
Coordinator before signing the form.
Unless the Study Abroad Office receives written confirmation from your home institution, all registered modules will appear on your
transcript regardless of the final mark.
