Why are you interested in the Fiji/Tanzania trip as opposed to another study abroad
trip?
What passions, talents, or resources will you bring to this trip that could benefit your
fellow participants and that you can share with the people of Fiji/Tanzania?
What are you, personally, hoping to gain from this experience?
Throughout this experience you will live and work extremely closely with fellow
participants and the Fijians/Tanzanians. Group cohesion is vital. Please discuss
your ability and willingness to contribute to a positive team dynamic, including
through regular team reflection conversations and group activities.
Please check the boxes below indicating that you understand.
Final trip costs are yet to be determined. However, I understand that within approximately three
weeks of selection, I will be expected to pay a $200 deposit. (Due date is approximately
January 15, 2016) I understand that the total program costs range from approximately $3,500 -
$4,200, depending on the trip selected and length of stay. Students will be notified of the
other payment deadlines upon their selection to the program. (Please note that every effort
will be made to reduce student costs through fundraising and donations. However,
participants should be prepared to pay the entire cost, should fundraising efforts be
ineffective.)
I understand that the trip accommodations are rustic and that the main purpose of this trip is
service and multi-cultural learning.
I understand that selection for this trip is competitive and that failure to adhere to
deadlines related to payments and paperwork could result in a loss of my spot.
