• Your FSA ID allows you to access your personal information on various Department of Education websites. It also
serves as your electronic signature.
• You may Edit your FSA ID online at www.fsaid.ed.gov
.
This is required to borrow student loans and must be completed online at https://studentloans.gov.
• Log In using your FSA ID. Agree to Terms and Conditions. Click Complete Counseling, then Start Entrance
Counseling.
• To enter school information, select New York and Hudson Valley Community College. Click Notify this school
.
• Identify yourself as an undergraduate student.
• Read all counseling information on each page and answer questions for that page. Be sure to complete all 5 tabs.
On the final page, click Submit.
• The Financial Aid Office will receive an electronic record of your completed session within three to five busine
ss
d
ays. To expedite processing of your loan, print the confirmation of your completed session and attach it to this
application.
• Click on the link to complete your Master Promissory Note. (see Step 3)

• Log In using your FSA ID.
• Select Complete MPN. Select Subsidized/Unsubsidized MPN loan type.
• Step One: Enter your personal and school information

• Step Two: Enter complete information for two personal references.
• Step Three: Read sections C, D, E and F of the Terms and Conditions and check the acknowledgement.
• Step Four: Review your information, enter your name and click Sign. Review MPN and click Submit.
• The Financial Aid Office will receive an electronic record of your completed MPN within three to five business
days. To expedite processing of your loan, print page 1 of your MPN and attach it to this application.

Step 2: Complete your on-line Entrance Counseling
Step 3: Complete and sign your Master Promissory Note (MPN)
