Applicants must show interest and investment in their community.
Applicants must demonstrate a willingness to learn and work hard at
their academics. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 units at FRC.

Osher Scholarship
Five scholarship awards are available which are funded by The
California Community Colleges Scholarship Endowment and the
generosity of The Bernard Osher Foundation. Applicants must have
completed 24 or more degree-applicable units (or the equivalent) at
the time of the initial scholarship disbursement, and must be receiving
the CALIFORNIA COLLEGE PROMISE GRANT
(formerly BOG
waiver). Priority will be given to applicants with financial need.
Recipients must be enrolled at least half-time (6 or more units) during
all semesters in which the award remains active.

Scholarship
Three scholarship awards are available which are funded by local
donors including the Agriculture/Equine Department, Bill Peters, Bob
Shoensee, George McNulty, Larry Gonsalves, Max Benton, Pat
Buckner, and Phil Johnson. Applicants must have completed 24 or
more degree-applicable units (or the equivalent) at the time of the
initial scholarship disbursement, and must b
CALIFORNIA COLLEGE PROMISE GRANT (formerly BOG waiver).
Priority will be given to applicants with financial need, agriculture
majors participating in the equine studies program, those
majoring in art, environmental studies/hatchery, or culinary arts,
as well as students who have been accepted into the Licensed
Vocational Nursing program. Recipients must be enrolled at least
half-time (6 or more units) during all semesters in which the award

Rose Cortez Memorial
Scholarship
Applicants must have successfully completed 12 units or more at FRC,
must be enrolled full-time and must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or
higher at the time of the initial scholarship disbursement. One letter of
reference must be from an FRC staff or faculty member and one from
a professional reference (e.g. high school teacher, administrator,
employer, clergyman, community organizer, etc.) Recipients must be
enrolled full-time and maintain a 3.0 GPA during both semesters in
which the award remains active.

Native American
Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled in at least 12 units at FRC and have a
cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. This scholarship is restricted to
Native
American students (proof provided through the Bureau of
Indian Affairs) with priority given to students of Yamani (Mountain)
Maidu heritage. If a qualified Yamani Maidu applicant does not apply,
the second priority would be given to all other Maidu applicants.
Finally, any other qualified Native American applicant will be taken into
consideration. Applicants must demonstrate interest in participation in
local or regional Native American activities and/or projects.
