2020-2021 HIGH SCHOOL COMPLETION STATUS FORM

Our records indicate you have not submitted any of the following: an official high school transcript indicating you have graduated high school,
official GED scores indicating you have earned your GED or documentation indicating you have earned the equivalent of a high school diploma.
Please read carefully the options below and select the option that best describes your status and provide the required documentation.
Your financial aid file will not be processed any further until you verify your high school completion status and submit the required
documentation.
OPTION A: High School Diploma or GED
I have or will have a high school diploma prior to the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year.
You must have your official high school transcript sent to
the HFC Office of Admissions. Please note that an official
high school transcript must be final and indicate you have graduated high school.
OR
I have or will have a GED prior to the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year.
You must have an official GED Transcript sent to the HFC Office of Admissions. The official transcript must reflect passing scores
indicating you have earned your GED. To request your official GED Transcript you may contact www.gedtestingservice.com. Once at
that site, complete the “Request Transcript” section. Be sure to select “Transcript” as that is what is required at HFC. Please note,
there may be a charge for this service.
OR
I have or will have graduated from a non-U.S. high school prior to the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year.
If you graduated from a non-U.S. high school and have only attended high school in another country, a general evaluation of your
transcript is required from a foreign education credential evaluation service. For a list of agencies that provide this service you may
go to the NACES website at www.naces.org
(click on “current members”). Note that GPA does not need to be calculated.
OPTION B: Homeschooled
I was homeschooled and completed a secondary education prior to the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year.
If you were homeschooled and completed your secondary education prior to the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year, you must
submit either a signed statement from your parent or guardian indicating you have completed your high school education or a high
school transcript showing a diploma from the home school.
In
addition, to be admitted you must also place into ENG 131 based on results of the HFC English Placement test, ACT or SAT.
OPTION C: College credits (60 or more)
I attended college previously and have successfully completed at least a two-year program that is acceptable for full credit toward
a bachelor’s degree prior to the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year.
If you attended college previously and have successfully completed at least a two-year program that is acceptable for full credit
toward a bachelor’s degree prior to the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year, you must have an official copy of your college
transcript mailed to the HFC Office of Admissions.

update question #26 of your 2029-2021 FAFSA (regarding high school completion) to “None of the Above”.
OPTION D: Enrolled in College Prior to July 1, 2012
I enrolled in college prior to July 1, 2012 and have completed a minimum of 6 credit hours of college-level coursework.
