Employer-Led Project (ELP) Proposal
Thank you for your interest in working with Seneca Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) students!
Seneca WIL recognizes, due to the current economic impact of COVID-19, employers may not
be able to provide students with traditional paid opportunities, which is why we have created our
new Employer-Led Project (ELP) program.
How it Works
Students will be assigned to available projects and employers, working in groups to meet or
solve a business need identified by the employer.
Projects may have students from a variety of programs working together in a cross disciplinary
group. All employer deliverables will be submitted on behalf of the group. The employer will
oversee the project and will be the primary contact for the student groups.
Benefits
This program aims to provide employers and students an opportunity to work together to solve
employer challenges and business needs. Employers can gain access to eager talent with fresh
insights and students receive real-world experience and meet their program requirements.
Submit Your Proposal
Seneca is currently accepting proposal submissions for our Employer-Led Project (ELP)
program for the Winter 2021 term.
Use the table below to submit your project proposal. All proposals will be reviewed by Seneca to
determine if they meet the required criteria. Please note, proposal submissions do not
guarantee your project will be selected. Seneca reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to
select or decline projects based on the required criteria projects that best meet program learning
outcomes and can decline any project that does not meet the required criteria.
If your project proposal is selected, a memorandum of understanding outlining the roles and
responsibilities of all stakeholders (faculty member, WIL co-ordinator, employer, librarian,
student) will be negotiated prior to project commencement.
Selected projects will commence in January 2021.
