11 Flow diagram
Read the sentences and fill in the gaps on the flow diagram in order to describe what happens when a
balloon is rubbed on someones hair. This has an effect much like the van de Graaff generator.
The balloon will steal electrons from your hair.
Rub a balloon against your hair.
Your hair will be attracted by the balloon and stand up.
Put the balloon near your hair and the opposite charges attract.
Your hair is now positively charged and the balloon is negatively charged.
