A work-with inspection authorizes the power company to disconnect and reconnect
an electrical service for repair or alteration by a qualified permit holder.
The scope of work shall be explained to the inspector.
The inspector shall inspect all service related equipment. Access to all equipment (panels, etc.)
If repairs are being performed due to meter tampering or other types of current diversion,
special attention shall be given to service masts and laterals in addition to performing an
electrical safety check of the entire structure(s).
The inspector shall submit the approval to the power company.
It is the permit holders’ responsibility to coordinate with the power company upon approval.
No action within 30 days will require an additional inspection.
No “work-with” shall be approved on new construction or existing structures undergoing
extensive remodel requiring occupants to vacate, or structures deemed to be unsafe for
reconnection.
