CHILD, YOUTH, AND FAMILY STUDIES
BACHELOR OF APPLIED SCIENCE APPLICATION FALL 2019
BAS-CYFS APPLICATION CHECKLIST
The Bachelor of Applied Science in Child, Youth, and Family Studies (BAS-CYFS) is an evening/hybrid program
that builds on professional-technical associate degrees, such as the Associate in Applied Science-Transfer
(AAS-T), in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Addiction Studies, or Family Support Studies for a total
degree of 180 credits. A minimum of 90 credits would have been completed prior to admission.
Edmonds CC is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and the program is
approved by the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges.
Admission into the program is determined holistically by several factors: strength of Personal Statement, Professional
Recommendations, GPA, and work experience. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.
If you are a new student to Edmonds CC, apply for general admission.
