GPRA DATA COLLECTION INSTRUCTIONS
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DISTRICTS AND INDIAN TRIBES
PART I: To be completed by Regional personnel. Recipient should review the information and make changes
where necessary.

Recipient Section Instructions
Data Collection Period: EDDs and Indian Tribes report investment outcomes for the previous fiscal year. The
report is due at the EDA regional office not later than 10 calendar days after the award anniversary. (Example: EDD
receiving an investment award on January 1, 2016, reports on assistance provided from January 1, 2016 to
December 31, 2016 not later than January 10, 2018.)
The Investment Recipient will complete the recipient section. If there is not sufficient space on the data collection
form, you may use additional pages with the EDA investment number and reporting period at the top of each page.
Section 1: Economic Development Districts (EDD) only
Definition: Sub-state jurisdiction members are independent units of government (cities, towns, villages, counties,
etc.) and eligible entities substantially associated with economic development that participated in the organization
(and continue to participate in the subsequent operations) of the EDD, as set forth by the district’s by-laws or
alternate enabling document.
Section 2: Economic Development Districts and Indian Tribes
Section 2 a
Definition: Initiatives are projects or strategies, and should be counted only in the fiscal year they were started.
If section 2a is greater than zero, Sections 2b thru 2h must be completed.
Section 2f: If reporting 1,500 or over in jobs created or retained, complete the attached EDA GPRA
PERFORMANCE VALIDATION FORM FOR CAPACITY BUILDING INVESTMENT RECIPIENTS.
Section 2g: If reporting $100 million or over in private sector investment, complete the attached EDA GPRA
PERFORMANCE VALIDATION FORM FOR CAPACITY BUILDING INVESTMENT RECIPIENTS.
Burden Statement: Notwithstanding any other provision of the law, no person is required to respond to, nor shall any person be subject to a
penalty for failure to comply with, a collection of information subject to the requirements of the Paperwork Reduction Act, unless that collection
of information displays a currently valid OMB Control Number 0610-0098 Expires 11/30/2020. The public reporting burden for this collection is
estimated to average 6 hours per response including the time for reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and
maintaining the data needed, and completing and reviewing the collection of information. Send comments regarding this burden estimate or any
