The Office of the Secretary of State offers several convenient methods to pay reinstatement fees for driver’s license
suspensions:
• The most efficient and fastest way to pay reinstatement fees is by credit card through the Secretary of State’s website
at www.cyberdriveillinois.com. (Click eServices, Driver’s License Reinstatement.) This service is available for your convenience
24/7. Your payment will be processed immediately, and you will receive a confirmation number and email indicating your fee
has been paid and your driving record has been updated.
• Payments may be mailed into the Springfield office in the form of personal checks, money orders, or by completing the below
credit card form. Payments mailed into the office will take a minimum of three to five business days for processing once
received. (Please allow ample time for the post office to deliver the mail to Springfield.) Mailing instructions along with the
address for your specific suspension are on the back of your Notice of Suspension.
• Cash or credit card payments may be made in person at the Driver Services facilities listed on the back of this publication. The
fees that may be paid at these facilities include: Discretionary Suspensions, Tollway Suspensions, Parking Suspensions, Failure
to Appear Suspensions and Automated Traffic Light Suspensions.
• Payments may also be made by credit card by calling the Secretary of State Springfield offices at the numbers provided below:
Reinstatement Fee Credit Card Payment Mail-in Form
Once a credit card account has been verified to ensure it is valid and in good standing, the account will immediately be charged
the amount owed to the Secretary of State, plus a minimal convenience fee. Please note that this method will take a minimum
of three to five business days to process once received by the office.
