Few of us here at Divine Living consider ourselves “techy,” and yet we do love technol-
ogy. Aer all, it’s what enables women like us to share our messages with the world!
In this packet, we are breaking down the basics needed to fully engage in this
program, plus some of our favorite tools to start and grow your business online.
THE NECESSITIES
Prepare for the year ahead with our must-have checklist.
ONE Professional Email Address — Commit to using only one main email address for
all communications related to your business and to your participation in the Divine Living
Academy. We will not be able to keep track of your event RSVPs, or make sure you are receiv-
ing the correct information if you are using multiple addresses.
A Reliable Computer — Kind of a no-brainer, but this is going to be your #1 most import-
ant tool in receiving this program and running your business. Please do not try to complete
this program via smart phone or tablet! Our materials can be accessed and completed via
both Mac and PC, but we recommend you update and clean up your computer as much as
possible to eliminate potential issues.
Computer Backup System — Successful entrepreneurs have backups. Your whole busi-
ness is going to be on that computer, so make sure you have either automatic cloud storage
set up, or an external hard drive that you sync every week. This is going to save you so much
time and money in the event that your computer crashes!
High-Speed Internet Access — We have had DLA members who’ve completed their work
using dial-up by downloading their materials and videos while they slept…however, we rec-
ommend you make arrangements to upgrade your access if available to you so there are no
disruptions to your learning.
Adobe Acrobat Reader – Your Academy modules come with PDF workbooks. If you’d like
to be able to type inside and save the les (mandatory only for Certication members), we
recommend you have the most updated version of Adobe Reader to facilitate that process.
Go to adobe.com to ensure you’re all set.
Digital Calendar – Set yourself up with Google Calendar, iCal or a calendar soware of
your choice. Make sure it integrates with your email as this really comes in handy as you
build out your business. Follow the steps in Gina’s Superstar Schedule training to block out
your days, and do not forget to place all of your DLA calls, live events, and time to work on
modules in your calendar before the program begins.
Zoom – We host all of our live coaching calls on this high-quality video conferencing platform.
