Font: Size 10-12 point; Color: Black
Spacing: Single spacing for headers, table titles, figure captions more than 1 line, reference lists,
bibliographies, footnotes, quoted materials. Double spacing for body of the dissertation. Triple
spacing between all headings and following material; before / after tables, figures, etc.
Margins: Left margin 1.5"; All other sides 1"; Right margin not justified. New paragraphs must be
indented 0.5".
Pagination: Body of dissertation must be numbered sequentially in upper right-hand. Lowercase
Roman numerals used in any material prior to dissertation. Title page, abstract and signature
pages not numbered.
Order: Title page, abstract, acknowledgments, table of contents, list of tables, list of figures, body
of dissertation, and bibliography.
Title Page: The max of 120 characters (incl. spaces) may be used in title. Title must be in all caps.
Month and year of graduation.
Dissertation Approval Form: Original signature of all committee members indicating approval.
Publishing fee (Only needed if you choose Open Access Publishing through ProQuest) $95 for Open
Access Publishing through ProQuest; Cash, Check or Money Order made payable to "Marquette
University"
