model name or number?
How many megapixels does the camera have?
Does the camera offer the ability to choose your
level of compression or quality?
Which formats does it use? Can you shoot raw?
(Many digital cameras don't offer this option.)
What type of storage card does this camera
use?
What size is it? Does it pivot or move? Can you
adjust the brightness of the LCD?
Can you compose your images on the LCD?
Can you turn it off and on? Does it have
adjustment options, such as low, medium, or
lenses
Can you remove and change the lens? If not,
does it come with optional adaptors?
Is there a wide variety of lenses available? Do
they have to be made by the camera
Compare digital to optical zoom. Does it have
both? Optical is preferred.
What is the focal length of the lens? Is that long
enough for the type of photography you want to
do? (Don't skimp here!)
If this isn't an SLR, do you have the option for
adaptors for wide-angle or telephoto work?
Are they rechargeable? Is a lithium battery
available?
