Dental Hygiene Program
Indian Hill Community College follows the HIPAA HITECH Act of 2009 guarding electronic patient information.
Therefore, IHCC dental clinic and community enrichment site computers are for restricted use during learning
experiences and clinic access.
I, agree to appropriately use the dental clinic computers that are
the property of Indian Hills Community College by:
Using the computers for ocial school business only
Securing the computer when not in use by logging o, utilizing measures provided for maintaining
computer security when in use by not sharing password, keeping computer screen from view of others
and reporting suspicious activity of others
Not accessing email/Facebook or other public media sites
Does not install any programs
Does not alter preferences set by the instructor
Maintaining security systems that have been provided by IHCC by not installing other security systems to
override the IHCC security system
Reporting suspicious malware/cookies/viruses immediately to the dental instructor and IT department
Compliance with HIPAA and HITECH regulations/laws
Not accessing patient information that is not under students care (need to know basis only)
Not altering, modifying or destroying any patient information in an unauthorized manner
Will not use/copy/ or distribute patient information for public or private use
Will not download information for personal use
