financial aid to pay for summer school. For example, a student who received loans in the fall 2020/spring 2021 and
used all of their federal loan eligibility, cannot use these funds for summer school 2021. Also, year-round Pell grant
may be available to you based on eligibility and criteria.
• Students are required to have completed the 2020-2021 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

n order to receive summer financial aid.
• Summer school awards will not be mailed. You may access your award after May 1, 2021 via Banner self-
service using your generated V# and pin. Also, please check your VSU email frequently for updates.
Reminder: You must take 6 credit hours and be in good academic standing to receive financial aid during
the summer sessions. Financial Aid will not be disbursed or will be withdrawn for students that do not
maintain six (6) credit hours, regardless of the reason. If a class is dropped or cancelled, it is the
student’s responsibility to enroll in another class for the summer session.
