Confidentiality Agreement
for Students Completing Education Department Assignments and Placements
In my observations and interactions with students, families, teachers, administrators and
staff in completing Education Department assignments and placements, I agree to abide
by the following guidelines:
To remain as inconspicuous (as is possible) in order to complete observations,
interact appropriately and cause minimal disruption to the learning environment.
To request direction from each individual teacher to guide my interactions with
students and to abide by teacher preferences in individual programs.
To insure as my primary concern the rights, safety, and privacy of the students
(and families) within education programs.
To conduct observations and to interact in education environments with care and
sensitivity to the students (and families) in attendance and to be considerate of
the feelings of all stakeholders.
To use pseudonyms rather than actual names to protect the privacy of students,
families, teachers, administrators, staff members and schools when completing
course assignments.
To discuss observations and interactions in education programs only with
classmates and the course instructor, as is necessary to meet the goals of course
assignments.
To refrain from discussing my experiences, during program observations
and interactions, with others who are outside the classroom (including
family members).
To refrain from ANY kind of social media communication related to my
observations and interactions with students, families, teachers,
administrators, and staff in completing Education Department assignments
and placements except with classmates and the course instructor as may be
necessary to meet the goals of course assignments.
My signature below indicates that I have read all of the above guidelines and agree
to abide by them as I observe and interact with students, families, teachers,
administrators, and staff in completing Education Department assignments and
placements.
