To be admitted into the concentration, the student must have a cumulative grade point average
(CGPA) of 2.75 or higher and be willing to meet the concentration requirements. A student
below 2.75 who later raises his or her CGPA to above a 2.75 may seek admission into the
concentration.
To successfully complete the concentration by graduation, the student must have an overall
CGPA of 2.75 or higher and 3.0 or higher in the 16 credits required for the concentration.
To successfully complete the concentration with Honors by graduation, the student must have
an overall CGPA of 3.0 or higher and 3.5 or higher in the 16 credits required for the
concentration.
In the case of a student who takes more than the minimum number of qualifying courses, the
student’s best grades in the courses related to the concentration will be used to calculate his or
her CGPA. Concentration courses cannot be taken on a Pass/Fail basis unless the course is a
Directed Reading or Independent Study.
STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KNOWING ALL OF THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE
CONCENTRATION PROGRAM IN WHICH THEY ARE ACCEPTED.
