2009-2007 Cost of Attendance Adjustment for Computer Purchase

Complete this form to increase your Cost of Attendance budget. By increasing your budget, you
may become eligible for additional loan money in the form of Parent Loans, Stafford Loans and/or
alternative loans. NOTE: This process will not make you eligible for (more) grant funds.
To increase your budget for a computer purchase, you must purchase the computer during the
2006/2007 Academic Year (5/26/06 4/30/07) or within a reasonable period of time prior to the
academic year. Complete this form and provide documentation of the computer, hardware, or
software you have purchased (receipts)
.
An initial computer purchase, including CPU, monitor, printer and basic software, can be obtained at a base
price of approximately $1000. Additional upgrades of hardware and software that may be needed during the
college career should not exceed $1500. Given this information, the Office of Financial Aid will allow
students to increase their cost of attendance by a total of $2500 for any 3-year period
.
Additional Information:
The adjustment does not have to be done at one time. You can purchase equipment as y
ou
need it.
The adjustment
may or may not result in a change in the amount of financial aid yo
u receive.
Any
increase in aid will be in the form of loans. For PLUS loans, parents must pass a cr
edit check.
