be accepted toward this program.

throughout the entire teacher certification program.

Admission to the Graduate Certificate in Teaching Secondary Content
with an option to earn a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction is
by application. Admission is not guaranteed.

Student must apply through UW Admissions for the Graduate
Certificate in Teaching Secondary Content, and be accepted prior to
the first day of summer courses.

The student's status will be as a Graduate Certificate student and
graduate tuition will be charged for all course credits beginning with
acceptance in the program.
Graduate Certificate in Teaching Secondary Content students who
choose to pursue the Master of Arts in C&I must apply directly to the
UW C&I graduate program. Application instructions and deadlines can
be found on the UW C&I website.
Admission to graduate study is not guaranteed.
Master's candidates have six calendar years to complete their degrees
from the beginning of the first course taken and listed on the Program
of Study.
