Register of a child taking part in a performance and not requiring a licence
For Leicestershire County Council Children
Information on child/children taking part in a performance without a licence, in accordance with Section 37(3)(a) of the Children
and Young Persons’ Act 1963. Even though a licence is not required, there is a requirement for you to comply with the
Regulations of a licensed performance under the Children (Performances and Activities) (England) Regulations 2014.
ONLY complete this form if the child takes part in a performance which totals four days or less, is not being paid and is not
seeking school absence. The person responsible for the production must obtain a Performance Licence if a child is taking part
in performances on 5 days or more. Please take into consideration any other performances the child may have done within
the last 6 months.
It is best practice for the responsible person relying on the four day rule to make enquiries with the child's parent to confirm
the number of days the child has performed during the last 6 months, licensed or unlicensed.
