Checklist
With every deadline and requirement, it’s easy to get confused or forget a step along the
way. In order to make your transfer process as seamless as possible, we have created this
checklist for your convenience. Click on the hyperlinks below to complete each step online.
Submit Application
Applying to Dakota Wesleyan University is free and easy.
Official College Transcripts
To complete your application, we will need official, sealed transcripts from any previous institution
you have attended. You may be accepted with an unofficial copy until final grades are posted. In
addition, high school transcripts and ACT/SAT scores may be requested.
Financial Aid
Dakota Wesleyan’s priority date for financial aid is Oct. 1. Have your FAFSA (Free Application for
Federal Student Aid) completed before Oct. 1 so you can be considered for the maximum federal
funding if you are eligible. You can apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. If you have questions, be sure
and contact our financial aid office.

nrollment Deposit
Submit your $200 enrollment confirmation deposit before registering for classes. The benefit of
submitting the enrollment deposit early is priority in housing and course choices. You can pay
in person (cash, check or credit card), by phone or online at www.dwu.edu.
Complete Online Housing Form
These forms must be completed by all students whether living on or off campus.

Transfer Student
Register for Classes
You are welcome to attend one of our set registration days or arrange an individual visit with your
transfer coordinator. During this time, you will register for classes, receive your student ID and
mailbox information, and much more.

These forms must be completed by all students whether living on or off campus.
