Cerro Coso Promise New Student Checklist
1. □ Application/Admissions – Admissions & Records, (760) 384-6374
I have completed the Cerro Coso application online at www.cerrocoso.edu/apply.
2. □ Student ID – I have received my student ID # and logged into InsideCC and Navigate.
3. □ Promise Application – I have completed the Promise application online.
4. □ Financial Aid – Financial Aid Office, (760) 384-6125
I have completed the FAFSA (or DREAM Act) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Cerro Coso's Federal School Code (010111) must be entered on your FAFSA so that your information will be
transmitted to us electronically. You will also need a pin to sign the FAFSA electronically. Apply for a pin
at fsaid.ed.gov. Parents of dependent students must also apply for a pin.
5. □ Orientation – I have completed orientation online at
https://www.cerrocoso.edu/studentservices/counseling/orientation
or on campus.
6. □ Student Education Plan – Counseling, (760) 384-6219
I have met with a Counselor to determine my Math and English placements and develop a
Student Education Plan

7. □ Register for Classes – I have registered for at least 12 units on Navigate.
□ Pay Fees – I have paid the required fees or made sure I have received a fee waiver.
□ Buy Your Books – I have purchased or rented the required textbooks.
□ Attend Classes – I will do my best to attend all classes at their scheduled time.
□ Counseling Follow-Up Appointment – I will meet with a Counselor if I need to
make changes to my Student Education Plan.
8. □ Begin Accumulating Outreach Hours – Outreach Services, (760) 384-6150
I will complete my 8 hours of required outreach activities by the end of the semester.
