This letter is to alert your company, Company Name, that it is time to apply and pay for an annual City
commercial solid waste permit. The City of Dania Beach commercial solid waste franchise law calls for a 15%
franchise fee for service billings issued and collected on or after October 31, 2019 as contained in City Code of
Ordinances Section 13-74. This franchise Ordinance requires that all commercial solid waste haulers providing
service in the City of Dania Beach to annually submit an application and pay for a City hauling permit. The
permit application must be received by the City no later than October 31 of each year.
In part, Section 13-74 Paragraph (f)(2) states:
“The minimum franchise permit shall cost one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per year payable in advance on or
before October 1 of each year; provided however, that if a permit is granted for a period of less than six (6)
months, the minimum fee shall be five hundred dollars ($500.00) in addition to the application fee of one
hundred fifty dollars ($150.00). A renewal application and a seventy-five dollar ($75.00) application fee is
required each year. All permits shall expire each September 30.”
Please submit billing rolls substantiating franchise fee payments.
Also, please refer to Section 13-74 paragraph (f)(4) regarding designated disposal facility, for the City of Dania
Beach is Reuter Recycling located at 20701 Pembroke Road, Pembroke Pines, FL. 33029. All waste shall be
disposed at Reuter Recycling.
Attached you will find a City solid waste annual permit application for ease of use. We respectfully request
that your company take necessary steps to complete and submit this application to the City accompanied by
the appropriate fees. The City’s full franchise ordinance can be found on the City’s website at
www.daniabeachfl.gov.
