By Maryland law, once you have earned 45 credits of course
work, all students must have an academic plan that lists the
courses needed to complete your degree for each semester
leading to graduation. Transfer students must have a plan in
the first semester at Towson. You will work with your academic
advisor to create your academic plan. We have created a
website with all the information needed to assist you with the
creation of your academic plan at http://www.towson.edu/cbe/
resources/advising/academicplan.html
Creating Your Degree Completion Plan (DCP)
Registration Tip: Prerequisites are checked online as you
register. A pre-business (PBUA) student who is not accepted
to the BUAD major and enrolls in an upper-level CBE (BUSX,
EBTM, ECON, ENTR, FIN, FPLN, LEGL, MKTG, or MNGT)
course will be disenrolled from the course.
Admission Procedure for BUAD:
At the start of each semester and before registration, the CBE
Student Academic and Career Services office will notify PBUA
students of their admission status by e-mail to their Towson e-mail
addresses. Students who have met the requirements in effect for
their catalog year will be automatically admitted to the major and
will be eligible to take upper-level “majors-only” CBE courses.
Students who take upper-level “majors-only” CBE courses
before being admitted to the Business Administration
major do so at their own risk.
