Requirements for Admission to the Business
Administration (BUAD) Major:
A minimum cumulative grade point average (Towson GPA)
of 2.0 or higher for all coursework.
A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.70 for ALL lower-
level BUAD prerequisites, with a minimum grade of 2.00 or
higher in each of the lower-level BUAD prerequisites.
Admission Procedure:
Admission to BUAD major will be processed after grades are posted in a
term. Students may register for "majors only" courses after admission to
the BUAD major has been processed by the Registrar's office (expected
times are: Mid-January; late-January; early June; & approx. 3 weeks after
summer sessions).
Students will receive a congratulations email after admission has been
processed and you are able to register for "majors only" courses.
Remember that there are many other students in the same situation, that is
why there are no exceptions to this rule.
After being accepted to the BUAD major, complete the upper-level Business Courses with a grade
of "C" or higher (2.00). You will also complete the courses required for your chosen concentration or

Creating Your Degree Completion Plan (DCP)
By Maryland law, once you have earned 45 credits of course work, all
students must have an academic plan that lists the courses needed to
complete your degree for each semester leading to graduation. Transfer
students must have a plan in the first semester at Towson. You will work
with your academic advisor to create your academic plan. We have
created a website with all the information needed to assist you with the
creation of your academic plan at http://towson.edu/cbe/resources/
advising/academicplan.html
