(DSST) is made available by Thompson Prometric. Both exam programs are approved by the American Council on Education (ACE)
and provide students with the opportunity to obtain college credit by examination. The examinations are standardized, multiple choice,
timed comprehensive final examinations. The following information applies to Metropolitan College degree programs only. You must
be enrolled in a degree program at Metropolitan College in order to receive credit.
Policies

Residency: CLEP and DSST exams do not fulfill Boston University residency requirements.
• Examinations may be taken to satisfy distribution requirements, or for elective credit only.
• Credit by examination may not be used toward major requirements or major related electives.
You must receive written approval from an academic counselor prior to registering for any CLEP or DSST exam.
